The Independent Development Trust (IDT) is implementing a Contractor Development Programme (CDP) in partnership with the CIDB and the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure. The programme aims to improve the grading status of contractors, increase the number of targeted companies (black women, disabled, youth-owned), create sustainable contracting enterprises, improve contractor performance in terms of quality, employment practices, skills development, safety, health, and the environment, and enhance business management and technical skills of contractors. The successful bidders will be invited for close competitive bidding for infrastructure procurement operations over a three-year period on an 'as and when' basis.
