In short

The appointed laboratory will be required to perform microbiological testing on regulatory samples for SAHPRA. This includes, but is not limited to, testing of non-sterile pharmaceutical products (e.g., microbial enumeration, TAMC, TYMC, specified microorganisms, microbial limit testing, absence/presence testing) and sterile products (e.g., sterility testing, bacterial endotoxins, microbial contamination, environmental monitoring). Other tests may include antimicrobial effectiveness, microbiological identification, water microbiological testing, bioburden testing, and microbial challenge testing.
