The South African Weather Service (SAWS) requires the supply, delivery, commissioning support, and warranty of three high-precision ceilometers and three industrial data acquisition computers. These will be deployed at new Greenhouse Gas monitoring stations. The ceilometers will measure cloud base height, aerosol backscatter profiles, mixing layer height, inversion layers, planetary boundary layer height, and nocturnal stable layers.
