In short

The project aims to establish a dedicated, resilient, and controllable bulk water supply to the Bo-Dorp pressure zone by pumping treated potable water directly from the Water Treatment Plant to the existing elevated reservoir. This will improve reliability, enable pressure and demand management, support non-revenue water reduction, and provide operational redundancy. The scope includes site establishment, excavation, laying, jointing, and testing of a 250 mm uPVC rising main, supply and installation of fittings, construction of a pump-station, installation of pumps and electrical systems, instrumentation, refurbishment of the existing reservoir, and enabling DMA infrastructure.
