How your Company Profile works
The Company Profile is what every match, score and bid is built from. What goes in it, which parts you declare, which parts come from documents, and how the two are kept apart.

Your Company Profile is what QuickTenders knows about your business. Tender Matching scores tenders against it, the Readiness Score measures how complete it is, and Build My Submission writes your bid from it. Everything in it is either something you declared or something read from a document you uploaded — and the two are never blended.
What it holds
| Section | What goes in it | Who supplies it |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Legal name, legal form, registration number, VAT number, addresses, contacts, website | You; the registration number is confirmed against your CIPC certificate |
| Where and what | Province, tender categories, services description | You |
| Directors | Each director's full legal name; appointment date and identity number where a form asks | You only — never read from a document |
| Authorised signatory | Who signs your bids, in what capacity, and on what authority (directorship or a company resolution) | You |
| Key personnel | Named people, their roles, CVs, qualifications | You, with their CVs in the CV Bank |
| Business Documents | CIPC, TCS PIN, B-BBEE, CSD, banking letter, CIDB and other registrations | You upload; QuickTenders reads them |
Declared versus documented
A fact you type is recorded as your declaration. A fact QuickTenders reads from a document — your B-BBEE level from the certificate, your registration number from the CIPC certificate, your turnover ceiling from a sworn affidavit — is recorded against that document.
The distinction decides what goes where in a bid. A form the buyer scores or that you sign prints only documented facts; a declared fact with no document behind it is left blank on the form, and Final Review tells you which document would fill it. The written company profile section leads with your own description of the business and adds documented facts beside it.
Where a document disagrees with a declaration — your CIPC certificate lists different directors from the ones you entered — QuickTenders shows the conflict and asks you to resolve it. It never silently picks one.
Your services description leads
The services description you write under Profile is the primary source for the company profile section of every bid and for the services-match bonus in matching. Write it as you would introduce the business to a buyer: what you do, for whom, and how. Tender categories are for finding tenders; they are never used to describe what your business is.
