How to use the Tender Workspace

What is in a workspace, the order to work through it, what Build My Submission writes and what it leaves for you.

A Tender Workspace is the working area for one tender you are applying for. Everything about that bid lives in it until you download the Submission Pack.

What is in it

PartWhat it holds
RequirementsWhat QuickTenders read from the tender: compulsory requirements, forms, evaluation criteria, closing details
Bid QuestionsThe questions only you can answer for this bid
Written sectionsCover letter, company profile, key personnel, experience and references, methodology, technical proposal, project plan, health and safety, quality plan, local content, pricing narrative
FormsThe buyer's forms — pre-filled where a template exists, otherwise carried as supplied
PricingYour pricing decision and, where the tender wants one, the priced schedule
Supporting documentsThe documents that will be attached, and why each was selected
Final ReviewWhat is done, what is recommended, what is yours, what is blocking

The order that works

  1. Read the Requirements tab first. It tells you what the evaluator will score and what would disqualify you.
  2. Answer the Bid Questions. Sections that depend on an answer wait for it.
  3. Record your Pricing Decision. The pricing narrative is written only once it exists.
  4. Build My Submission. Each written section is drafted from your documents and this tender's requirements. A section shows one of a few states: needs your input (waiting on a question or the price), ready for your review (written, not yet accepted), accepted, or edited by you.
  5. Review and accept each section. Edit anything you would say differently — an edited section is yours and is never rewritten by QuickTenders. Regenerate a section if your documents have changed since it was written; the workspace tells you when that is the case.
  6. Open each form. Check the pre-filled fields, answer the declarations, and note which need your signature after download. Upload your own completed copy if you prefer to complete a form by hand.
  7. Run Final Review, then download.

What Build My Submission writes — and does not

It writes what your documents and profile support, structured to the tender's criteria, in the buyer's order. It omits what it cannot support and lists the gap for you in the workspace rather than writing around it. It never states a contract period, quantity or date the tender does not state, never turns a turnover ceiling into an exact figure, and never signs a letter with a title that is not your declared signatory's.

The number of sections you can have written per month depends on your plan; the allowance is shown under Billing.
